"I really enjoyed the challenge in making this quilt. I have made a few qiults for my family and have never entered a competition before.
My quilt used about 32 fabrics out of my purple stash. The light fabric in the log cabin block are pieces I painted myself. I substituted a 'Spinning Puzzler' for the Angel Block.
This was a happy experience for me and I found the Ruler, Triangles and Templates easy to use."

"My Westalee sampler quilt was made of fabrics from my “stash” so I could buy the odd template! To get a little more practice I made 2 of most blocks, sometimes mixing the co-ordinated colours. I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of picking colours and trying to co-ordinate them, I’d then make four block designs in the combination most of the time it worked, sometimes, well you can’t win them all. The only fabric I bought was the red/white stripe for the border. "
"This was a challenge in itself. What would go with all those colours? So I took a punt-I like the outcome."
