Books and Patterns.

My pattern, "Not Quite a log Cabin" is only the second pattern I have released from my quilts and I will be putting more up here in the future, given the time. My book, "Shhh - Don't Tell Anyone" was written in responce to your requests.

All prices are in Australian dollars.

A Little Book of Piecing Secrets

Not sure what to get for Christmas! if you know someone who is relatively new to patchwork, then this book would make a nice gift. Full of tips on piecing that will make this creative pastime even more enjoyable. "Whether you are sewing squares, rectangles, triangles or you are using templates; if you follow the techniques in the book and pay attention to the detail your piecing should be beautiful with points that meet without the need to trim to square up your units and blocks."

I am sure that the information in "Shhhh Don't Tell Anyone" will be helpful and it will make your piecing easier and more enjoyable.

The Book, with more than 60 detailed photos, tips and techniques to help you achieve beautiful piecing, it is ideally suited to those beginning and those of you still having difficulties with some areas of your patchwork.

"Not quite a Log Cabin"

The centre of block featured in this quilt is a log cabin with a second set of logs wrapping around the opposite side of the block. A red chimney stone centre ties the blocks to the red background, the logs start in a very pale yellow and progressively darken to the outside of the block.

The placement of the blocks forms an illusion which makes the sets of blocks appear to be floating.

An easy to read placement chart makes piecing the blocks a breeze.
