Our Sampler Quilt, "Family Reunion"

We have been getting some fabulous feedback from quilters making the blocks for the Sampler Quilt. So many have been using the patterns, not only to get the most from their Westalee Rulers but to use the patterns as a learning aid.

We have had many requests for an extension of the competition closing date. With the number of people downloading the block patterns themselves and the Quilters working through the many Patchwork Shops in class's, we have decided to extend the closure date to Tuesday 31st January 2012. This will give everyone enough time to work out how they are going place the blocks in their quilt and enough time to finish it.

We have seen some of the blocks at different venues in our travels and there are some Quilters that have a great eye for colors and wow! those points are really coming out fabulous. We have had over 11,126 downloads, of the block patterns to date

If you are interested in getting the patterns, simply click on the Sampler Quilt information below to get more information

Epsilon Star Setter

The Epsilon Star Setter

This tool has been 6 months in development and it is now ready. Leonie wanted an adjustable tool that would allow the user to create not only the Le Moyne Star in sizes from 2" to 18" (finished block size) but allow for a multitude of variations with the diamond. Well, Leonie acheived that and more. The Epsilon Star Setter can give the Diamonds in Striped, Split and Harelequin configurations. It also give you the choice of making your 8 pointed stars with or without "Y" seams. I know that will be popular.

The tool was designed to make the most out of our Adjustable Half Square Triangle (2" to 6") and the Miniature Quarter Square Triangle, (1/2" to 3").

The Epsilon Star Setter comes with a DVD that compliments the 16 page printed instructions and a tool to guide the triangle setup

A look at the Epsilon Star Setter

A short video showing the tool and its functions

Here are a couple of blocks taken from the video.

Epsilon Star Setter

The Epsilon Star Setter requires the Adjustable Triangles to make complete the blocks - If you have our Starter Set of Rulers, you will already have the Half Square Triangle.

Epsilon Star Setter - $45.00

Half Square Triangle - $29.00

Miniature Quarter Square - $14.50
